How do we remedy this imbalance when raising the next new generations of young ones? How do we raise and educate our children so that they will be happy and develop into their full potential which is Whole human beings who eagerly participate in the co-creation of the â€˜Whole New World” that we have all been dreaming of?
Anna-Mari Pieterse is the Country Coordinator for Humanity’s Team South Africa and has served in Humanity’s Team on a global level in a number of ways since 2005.
Anna-Mari is well known and respected for her great passion, respect and work in uBuntu that she regards as ‘Africa’s greatest Gift of Oneness to the world.’ Anna-Mari has particular interest in the Ancient Kemetian Spirituality and Cosmology of Africa.
Anna-Mari is also the Founder of the uBuntu Civics Academy – now implementing her uBuntu Keepers Program for Schools and Education into eleven schools in the South Africa.
Passionate about her role in the reclaiming and living of uBuntu, Anna-Mari believes that uBuntu is the most all-encompassing answer to know who we really are and how we may reach our highest potential. It is the key to any life question we may have.
Miriam Mason Martineau is a mother, therapeutic counselor, parenting coach, writer, speaker, and researcher. She has spent the last 20 years studying and applying Integral-Evolutionary theory, educational frameworks, and spiritual practice. Miriam holds an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Zurich, with specialization in Youth and Child Psychology, and has been working in private practice as an integral therapeutic counselor since 1995.
She is presently writing a book on Integral Parenting called Raising the Future: Parenting as a Spiritual Practice and is passionately interested in parenting as a spiritual path — both in theory and in practice. Miriam is vice-president of Next Step Integral, an international organization that brings an integral perspective to ecology, education, parenting and community.
She writes for the Huffington Post, and has articles and chapters published in several magazines and books, including The Journal of Integral Theory and Practice, Igniting Brilliance: Integral Education for the 21st Century, and Cohering the Integral WE Space: Developing Theory and Practice for Engaging Collective Emergence, Wisdom, and Healing in Groups (forthcoming).
Miriam offers workshops, speaking engagements, counselling for individuals and couples, as well as parent coaching and an online parenting course.
Dr Neil Hawkes is the founder of the International Values Education Trust (IVET) and Values-based Education (VbE). Neil is loved and respected throughout the world as an educational leader and thinker.
Neil spent seven years as Headteacher of West Kidlington School in Oxford where he gained a reputation for his outstanding leadership and transformational curriculum. It was here that the school community worked together to devise and implement a system of Values-based Education that has been recognised internationally as the foundation of outstanding school practice.
Neil is well known as an inspirational speaker, broadcaster and writer. He will be giving a TEDx talk in April. His book, “From My Heart, transforming lives through values”, is a celebration of the success of VbE worldwide. Neil latest book co-authored with Jane Hawkes, to be published in April, is called “The Inner Curriculum, how to nurture wellbeing, resilience and self-leadership”. Neil hopes that this book will herald a new era in education, as its aim is to transform consciousness, so that we can live in peace and harmony on our beautiful planet. Neil was a very popular TEDx speaker in April 2018.
Andrew Newman is an internationally-renowned and award-winning author and founder of Conscious Bedtime Story Club, a growing series of bedtime stories purpose-built to support parent-child connection in the last 20 minutes of the day. His early and profound longing for connection with all things spiritual later inspired a career in writing and communication in many forms, including healing work with Dr. Barbara Brennan, motivational speaking, counseling, and publishing over 2500 donated poems as the PoemCatcher, a work that later benefited the victims of the 2010 Haitian earthquake.
Newman served as volunteer coordinator for Habitat for Humanity in multiple townships in South Africa, directed Edinburgh’s Festival of Spirituality and Peace, and has been actively involved since 2006 in the Mankind Project. He was an opening speaker for Deepak Chopra, a Tedx presenter in Findhorn, Scotland, an author-in-residence at the Bixby School in Boulder, Colorado, and a resident storyteller at the Conscious Discipline Elevate Conference, hosted by Dr. Becky Bailey.
Steve Farrell is the Worldwide Executive Director for Humanity’s Team, a global grassroots spiritual movement focused on awakening and embodying Oneness so humanity may enjoy a sustainable world of peace, harmony and happiness. Humanity’s Team presently has over 665,000 friends in over 150 countries.
