Dr Dumisani Magadlela (Dumi) is an African Skills Development Specialist, Certified Executive Coach, ABCCCP Master Coach, a Mentor, Trainer of Coaches, graduate Academic Supervisor (Masters and PhDs), and International Leadership Development Facilitator who is based in Midrand, South Africa.
Dumi has extensive experience in leading teams and team engagement sessions, facilitating training workshops, leading organisational development and culture change, helping build team spirit among managers and executives working together, guiding strategic and executive engagement sessions, and high-level international engagements.
Dumi supports the development of small businesses through skills development and mentoring youth and business leaders. Dumi has previously worked for the United Nations (UNDP) both as a consultant and as an employee where he received raining in Leadership in the 21st Century from Teleos Leadership Institute.
He is currently (2016) coordinating and conducting training and skills development for African professionals across sub-Saharan Africa and has recently returned from a Visiting Associate Professor stint at the Institute of Innovation Research at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan, where he wrote a paper on African Skills Development and Capacity Building.
Dumi has had media training, and features regularly on radio, magazines and blogs, talking and writing about Africa’s institutional capacity building and skills solutions, and about coaching, entrepreneurship, organizational culture, African leadership and strategic issues, and African youth.
