The “The Great Upwising” panel will explore…
- Everything that’s going on in the world which is really the result of the illusion of separation.
- How, in this great cosmic comic paradox, the reality we’re so caught up in is part of our programming and cultural habits
- We see the material world as being real, but so much more real than this illusion of separation is being these individual cellular human souls in a larger body called humanity. This is what we’re talking about. This is the truth of oneness.
- The three questions that are key to our understanding the evolution of our species
Steven T. Newcomb (Lenape, Shawnee) is an author and legal scholar. For more than four decades he has been researching and writing about the origins of federal Indian law and international law dating back to the early days of Western Christendom, most notably focused on what he calls the doctrine of Christian discovery and domination. He is one of the foremost authorities on the Vatican papal decrees of the fifteen century and their destructive impact on the Original Nations and Peoples of the planet. The idea-system of domination found in Roman Catholic Church documents have resulted in the decimation of Original Nations and Peoples of Mother Earth, destroyed sacred life-ways and sustainable ecosystems, and deprived humanity of vitally important Teachings and Wisdom.
Newcomb is author of Pagans in the Promised Land: Decoding the Doctrine of Christian Discovery (Fulcrum Publishing, 2008) and co-producer of the 2015 documentary film, “The Doctrine of Discovery: Unmasking the Domination Code” directed and produced by Sheldon Wolfchild (Dakota). The film is based on Steven’s book and his extensive body of research. In 1992, Newcomb and Birgil Kills Straight (1940-2019), who was a Traditional Headman and Elder of the Oglala Lakota Nation, founded the Indigenous Law Institute and called upon Pope John Paul II to officially revoke the papal bull of May 4, 1493 and other such decrees.
In May 2016, Newcomb met with Pope Francis prior to a meeting that same day with the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace in Vatican City to advocate for a revocation of the papal bulls of the fifteenth century and their patterns of domination and dehumanization.
Shawna Bluestar Newcomb (Shawnee, Lenape, Azteca) is an inspirational speaker and mentor for changemakers, with a focus on holistic well-being and spirituality. Shawna collaborates with her father Steven Newcomb to lead a global movement for conscious change. Together they speak about the negative effects of The Doctrine of Discovery, The Domination Code, and how to find greater balance and peace with The Reverence Code, based on ancient and Indigenous wisdom. Shawna shares profound spiritual messages of inspiration that have opened hearts and minds internationally. She has dedicated her life and work to bring healing to humanity, the planet, and future generations. www.shawnabluestar.com
